HI-FLOAT COMPANY® LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN TO SAVE HELIUM
For Immediate Release
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 11, 2008) – The HI-FLOAT Company® has introduced a “Save Helium – Use HI-FLOAT” campaign designed to educate the balloon industry on methods for conserving helium.
As part of the campaign HI-FLOAT has developed a new black clip for the HI-FLOAT Pump Dispenser specifically for use with 60/40 helium inflators. By using ULTRA HI-FLOAT balloon treatment you can save 40 percent of your helium and have latex balloons that float several days longer than balloons filled with helium alone.
Conserving helium remains a top priority for the balloon and party industry. Research by HI-FLOAT Company shows that by using ULTRA HI-FLOAT you can inflate an 11-inch latex balloon with 60 percent helium and 40 percent air or nitrogen and still have a balloon that floats for three or four days. Without ULTRA HI-FLOAT, the same balloon would only float for 16 hours on average.
This technique saves 40 percent of retailers’ helium costs and gives customers the added value of longer floating balloons. In addition to conserving a valuable resource, the savings on helium pay for the cost of the ULTRA HI-FLOAT.
“Research and education have always been a top priority,” said Marjorie Burchette, co-founder of HI-FLOAT Company. “For years HI-FLOAT products have helped conserve helium by extending the floating life of latex balloons. Now we can also help reduce the amount of helium that is needed initially.”
The black restriction clip will be included in new HI-FLOAT Pump Dispenser Kits. For a free black restriction clip, e-mail info@hi-float.com.
To treat an 11-inch latex balloon using a 60/40 inflator just follow these simple steps:
1. Add ULTRA HI-FLOAT to an 11-inch balloon using the new black restriction clip on the pump dispenser.
2. Rub the balloon to spread the HI-FLOAT and inflate with a 60/40 inflator on your helium tank.
The key to success is adding enough helium for the balloons to float initially. Make sure to fully inflate the balloon. If the balloon floats initially, it should float for at least three or four days.

About HI-FLOAT® Company:
In 1982, HI-FLOAT® Company revolutionized the balloon industry by introducing its patented balloon treatment that increases the life of helium and air-filled balloons. Since its inception, family-owned, privately-held HI-FLOAT® Company has expanded its product portfolio to include SUPER HI-FLOAT® and ULTRA HI-FLOAT®, which increase the floating life of latex balloons between 10 and 25 times.
