HIFLOAT Highlights

Never A Dull Moment

Issue: #1 August 2007

In the party industry, there is always something to celebrate! From obvious events like weddings and birthdays, to the more obscure occasions like National Dog Day (Aug. 26), balloons are always part of the fun. That's why it's important to keep them afloat! Nothing is more deflating at a high-energy, positive event than sad, droopy balloons.

At HI-FLOAT, we know that every special occasion deserves perfection. That is why we are launching HI-FLOAT Highlights, a monthly newsletter that will keep you apprised of the latest trends and provide valuable tips to keep your sales inflated year-round.

 Peggy
Peggy Williams has worked in the balloon industry for well over two decades and has experience with retail balloon shops, wholesale balloon business, mass marketing, floral design, and wedding planning.  In 2004 she became the first recipient of the Dottie Blanchard Spirit Award.

Peggy has dedicated her career to education.  She is a high-energy instructor whose classes are both educational and entertaining.  Peggy understands the challenges of owning a business and that is why she always teaches her students how to save time and make money using HI-FLOAT.

"HI-FLOAT is one of my favorite tricks for keeping my customers happy," says Peggy. "I remember the very first time I used HI-FLOAT in my latex balloons, I swore I would never send a balloon without it.  My customers could not believe that their balloons lasted more than a day.  I remember when the mother of a sick child came into my store elated and full of joy.  She asked if I had magical powers. She said her daughter was so happy when she got up the next morning and found her balloons still floating!

"Although I wanted to take credit for being magical, I informed her that we cared so much for her that we treated our balloons with HI-FLOAT.  I can tell you, Hi-FLOAT is magic. Why would you NOT use HI-FLOAT, when you can share in the magic of great profits while bringing joy to every child when they discover their balloons will last for days?"

Peggy knows that there is always something to celebrate in the party industry and her Balloon Greeters are perfect whatever the occasion. They can be used to liven up dance floors, for balloon deliveries, or just to attract attention. And by using ULTRA HI-FLOAT you can ensure these charming guests will last as long as the party does.

Ingredients:

  • Helium
  • 1 Maxi Cup*
  • 1 Maxi Stick
  • 1 11-inch Latex Balloon
  • ULTRA HI-FLOAT

* Manufactured by Premium Balloon Accessories

Quick and Easy Instructions:

  • Add ULTRA HI-FLOAT to the 11" balloon.  Click here for basic HI-FLOAT instructions.
  • Inflate balloon with helium and hand-tie.
  • Insert the neck of the balloon into the hole in the Maxi Cup and wrap the neck of the balloon around the stem of the Maxi Cup.  Tuck the rolled edge of the balloon into the slit of the Maxi Cup to completely secure the balloon to cup.
  • Insert the straw into the Maxi Stick into the opening of the Maxi Cup.
  • Drop onto the ground.  The straw should glide across the floor holding the balloon erect.
  • If your balloon and stick rise from the floor add curling ribbon.

Professional Tip #1
Always use ULTRA HI-FLOAT in the balloon to ensure the balloon and stick will float for the duration of the party.

Professional Tip #1
You must use the Maxi Cup and Stick in order for the balloon to glide across the floor.  If you use a smaller cup the balloon will float to the ceiling.

HI-FLOAT Tip Of The Month

HI-FLOAT Prolongs Life of Air-filled Displays

By treating air-filled balloons with ULTRA HI-FLOAT, you can prolong the useful life of your air-filled displays. Air-filled balloons treated with ULTRA HI-FLOAT maintain their original size much longer than untreated balloons.

Our testing shows that after two months 11-inch air-filled balloons, treated with ULTRA HI-FLOAT, are the same size as the day they were inflated.   Balloons that were not treated with ULTRA HI-FLOAT had lost 20% of their air.

Treating air-filled balloons with ULTRA HI-FLOAT is ideal for store displays and other arrangements intended to last for several weeks. By treating all your air-filled balloons with ULTRA HI-FLOAT, your decor will maintain its original size and shape for much, much longer.

To treat air-filled balloons with ULTRA HI-FLOAT, follow the procedure for helium filled ballons, substituting air for helium. Click here for instructions.

Testimonial

From August 2007 Party & Paper Retailer

Question: What is the most original method you have come up with to increase balloon sales in your store?

"HI-FLOAT is a big seller for us: we include it at no charge on all our delivery balloons.  We communicate to our customers that we have it through outside displays.  We'll provide something for a client that's going to last a couple of weeks, and they let us put our signs up so people will know where it came from."
